6. HOW TO: Use SMILE Resources
Click on the orange markers to find out about the various features of our SMILE resources. SMILE resources not only allow you to control the tempo, but also the backing track mix and instrument animation, giving you a flexible tool to use in your teaching.
SMILE resources exist for guitar, keyboard, drums, recorder, woodwind, brass, strings and percussion.
This is the play bar. You can Play, Pause and Rewind the piece.
Enable looping between bars. Select which bars to loop between by dragging the loop controls in the scrubber
Shows currently playing position in the piece. Also lets you specify which bars to loop between when looping is enabled
Backing controls. Select which audio and backing your piece should play
Set just how fast the piece should play
A keyboard in case you need to play some notes and don't have a real keyboard in the classroom
Show or hide the instrument animation
Hides the score and makes the instrument animation fill the screen
The page turns on the last bar so you can see the score on the following page
Click a bar to quickly jump to a section in the score
