"Undefined" Error Message

Introduction

You may encounter a problem when viewing resources on some computers whereby attempting to open a lesson results in a dialog box with "undefined" messages appearing on screen. Your students may also see this error when viewing resources on the Pupil Learning Space.

This error is due to the fact that your computer does not have Adobe Shockwave installed. Shockwave is a standard web technology that is in use widely around the world, and is required in order to run Charanga resources.

This guide will show you how to install Shockwave on your computer. Please note that any computer that you use to view Charanga resources will need to have Shockwave installed.

Downloading Adobe Shockwave

1) In your internet browser, go to http://get.adobe.com/shockwave.

2) Click on "Agree and Install Now" to start downloading Shockwave. A dialog box may appear asking if you want to save or open the file. Choose "Save".

3) When the installer has finished downloading, open it. Follow the on-screen instructions to install Shockwave on your computer.

4) You may need to restart your internet browser for the changes to take effect. When you have done this you should be able to view Charanga resources without any difficulties.
